The Role

As an eCommerce SEO Executive, you will support in driving growth in rankings, traffic, and revenue/conversions across Organic Search. You will also support our Ecommerce Manager with maintenance of products, collections and merchandising across the OddBalls site. 

Main Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify areas of improvement for boosting Organic Search traffic
  • Form priority keyword list & conduct research as and when required
  • Implement areas of improvement such as Meta Descriptions, appropriate use of H1, 404 fixes etc
  • Ensure we have a solid process for updating Product Title formats, Description formats, URL structures
  • Develop a backlink and outreach PR strategy & implement accordingly with support from Head of Marketing
  • Work with Head of Marketing on site content that is aligned with above strategy
  • Work with the Head of Performance to create KPI’s and regular reporting to track performance
  • Support technical team to ensure that our KPI tracking is correct
  • Support our Ecommerce Manager by regularly reviewing and updating product, collection and information landing pages to ensure they are up to date, promote our brand effectively and support in driving conversion
  • Support Ecommerce Manager with proactively updating the website with seasonal banners, highlighting new product launches, markdowns and promotions in line with our Marketing calendar 
  • Brief Creative team on visual assets needed for specific campaigns, SEO-optimized pop-ups, alerts and collection banners
  • Staying informed about Google’s latest developments, updates, and algorithm changes to inform ongoing strategies.
  • Support Ecommerce Manager with strategies around upsell, post purchase, abandoned baskets,referral when required
  • Work with our Paid Experts and share insights to optimise performance across paid and organic

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proficient in Excel
  • Happy to work in a mixed responsibility role, this is not solely an SEO position
  • Good knowledge of SEO Tools
  • High level of competence using Google Analytics, Search Console and Tag Manager
  • Proficiency in Shopify Plus desirable 
  • Experience in an e-commerce environment would be desirable
  • Hands on experience of applying SEO strategies 
  • Proven track record of managing successful SEO campaigns
  • Experience of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data orientated
  • Self-motivated and highly organised
  • Passionate about personal growth and development
  • Ideally worked within eCommerce SEO
  • Excellent written & spoken English

Salary and benefits

£24,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)

Place of work

This role is based at our office on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate in North Shields.

Hybrid, up to 1 day per week from home.

Full time, 37.5 hours per week

8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. Monday – Thursday

8.30 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. on Fridays
