Financial Accountant

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

About the Role

The business is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to help oversee the strategic development of the Finance function.

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, consumer focussed business, and with successful delivery, can offer considerable progression into a senior Finance Role.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Contribute to an ongoing corporate restructure.
Responsibility for group treasury function.
Preparation of group statutory accounts.
Lead contact for the annual audit fieldwork.
Responsibility for group wide tax compliance with HMRC.
Management of Finance Assistant to ensure daily reconciliations.
Ensuring Xero accounting system is managed in line with accounting principles.
Company secretary duties

The ideal candidate we are seeking

Ideally experienced in an audit background
Prior experience of statutory and management accounts preparation and analysis
Working knowledge of Tax compliance including VAT returns, PAYE and Corporation Tax
Professional accounting qualification
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent communication skills.
